In order to nest the quantity of parts included in an assembly, it is possible to drag and drop a bill of materials from the project tree into the Parts tab of the Automatic nesting. This lists all the parts included in the assembly and their quantity. Then, it is possible to choose which ones to nest. This method can also be applied assemblies containing local parts.

In the case of Unfoldings, it is also necessary to go through the assembly BOM. In this case the Unfoldings option lists the parts that have an unfolding document in the PDM. The Unfoldings of the selected parts are then included as nesting parts.
