TopSolid'Virtual does not launch after installation (black screen or software cannot be opened)

Symptom: Software does not open after installation (or black screen).

Cause:

  1. Your computer's graphics drivers need updating.

  2. Your antivirus software is deleting an .exe file required to run the software.

Solutions:

Solution 1

Update your drivers as described here (“Checklist” sub-section): https://faq.topsolid.com/?action=show&cat=45 

Solution 2

Whitelist all .exe files of the version.

These .exe files should be authorized and whitelisted:

  • WEVIZ-Win64-Shipping.exe

  • TopSolidVirtual.exe

  • ProtectionSystem.exe

  • DatasmithCADWorker.exe

  • UE4PrereqSetup_x64.exe
