In some operations that use profiles (3D Contouring, Slot milling, 5D Contouring), the starting point is not always the one you want.

These operations are executed on a sketch. Changing the origin of this sketch will also change the starting point.

To do this: 

• Edit your sketch

• Go to the 3D Sketch (or 2D Sketch) menu > Operations > “Profiles Origin and Orientation”:

• In the pop-up window, select the 3rd option “One profile” > Select the profile to be modified > Tick the “Origin” box and define a new point from the 3 available options:

For 3D Contouring and 5D Contouring operations, it is also possible to define the machining starting point directly in the operation.

To do this

• Go to the “Geometry” tab

• Scroll down the geometry until you find the “Machined” parameter and click on the flat key to edit this parameter:

• A window appears to define a start point and end point:

• Simply select the desired starting point in “Start point” and “End point”.
